England worse than the Ice Age.

05/02/2012 - 20:28
A couple of days ago down in south-east Wiltshire, there was a blizzard and a half. Salisbury in particular was snowed in and my front door was stiff. Also in London they had thicker snow still, can you believe it.

“Blimey” it’s cold out there because in the past few days Wiltshire has gone down to -12 at night time, so keep nice and warm and your house won’t have to face the cold.

Hello

21/05/2010 - 14:10

As a new member of the site, I wanted to say hello.  I am the Community Area Manager for the Amesbury Area (one of the 20 community areas of the new Wiltshire Council).

My role is to help members of the public, parish councils and all in the community 'connect' with the Amesbury Area Board and to feel able to get involved in the work and activities of the board, i.e. local decision making, events to improve education, health, highways and other important services in this Area.

Computer Support using Skype

04/09/2009 - 12:41

The latest version of skype (download for free from www.skype.com) includes an option to share your screen with one of your contacts.

If you ever find yourself trying to explain over a phone how to use a computer then being able to see what your friend is doing will make it a hundred times easier. No more "the window's disappeared!", "I can't find a start button" or "there is no menu called File".

A warm welcome

05/09/2007 - 14:10

Just thought I would say hello to the Woodford community having moved into the valley back in June. My family and I have received nothing but a warm welcome from everyone we have met which has made our first few months here an absolute pleasure.

So thank you for popping in an saying hello.

I'm a little embarrased that most of the photos in the gallery are of my children!

To add you own photos click on Gallery in the left hand panel. Then click on Your Album and then Add items from the right hand panel. The rest should be obvious.
