Just thought I would say hello to the Woodford community having moved into the valley back in June. My family and I have received nothing but a warm welcome from everyone we have met which has made our first few months here an absolute pleasure.

The Link Scheme is a community based initiative that aims to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged elderly or infirm people by providing a structured GOOD neighbour service delivered by volunteers from within the local community.

With the help of volunteers. we offer to take folk to hospital, the doctors, shopping and some small tasks that haved proved difficult for our clients (changing light bulbs perhaps).

To add you own photos click on Gallery in the left hand panel. Then click on Your Album and then Add items from the right hand panel. The rest should be obvious.

Following the success of the launch of www2.woodfordvalley.net it was decided to promote it to www.woodfordvalley.net. All of the old content will slowly be migrated to the new system.

The number of users is growing daily and new content is slowly appearing. Events are being added to the calendar and clubs, organisations and businesses are adding themselves to the Home pages and Yellow Pages.

I have now implemented a small editor so that new content can be formated with bold, italics, bullet points and lots more. 

After article in The Bridge users are starting to appear!

Have enabled "books" and created a book for recording the names of the faces in Toddy's photo-book, "Summer in the Woodford Valley".

Have also created a book called Yellow Pages to enable businesses to create their own web pages and one called Home Pages for individuals and organisations.

Have started defining a few categories in preparation for advanced searches, private forums and other possibilities.

Have implemented an include image feature for all posts.

As well as displaying all the events going on the valley, the calendar can be used to view information submitted to the website.
