The latest version of skype (download for free from www.skype.com) includes an option to share your screen with one of your contacts.

If you ever find yourself trying to explain over a phone how to use a computer then being able to see what your friend is doing will make it a hundred times easier. No more "the window's disappeared!", "I can't find a start button" or "there is no menu called File".

I'm a little embarrased that most of the photos in the gallery are of my children!

To add you own photos click on Gallery in the left hand panel. Then click on Your Album and then Add items from the right hand panel. The rest should be obvious.

Following the success of the launch of www2.woodfordvalley.net it was decided to promote it to www.woodfordvalley.net. All of the old content will slowly be migrated to the new system.

The number of users is growing daily and new content is slowly appearing. Events are being added to the calendar and clubs, organisations and businesses are adding themselves to the Home pages and Yellow Pages.

I have now implemented a small editor so that new content can be formated with bold, italics, bullet points and lots more. 

After article in The Bridge users are starting to appear!

Have enabled "books" and created a book for recording the names of the faces in Toddy's photo-book, "Summer in the Woodford Valley".

Have also created a book called Yellow Pages to enable businesses to create their own web pages and one called Home Pages for individuals and organisations.

Have started defining a few categories in preparation for advanced searches, private forums and other possibilities.

Have implemented an include image feature for all posts.

As well as displaying all the events going on the valley, the calendar can be used to view information submitted to the website.

Have integrated a gallery into www.woodfordvalley.net

It is now possible to upload photos and video and store them in a number of albums. User's can create their own albums, search for photos and vote on which items they like best.

After woodfordvalley.net was hacked by spammers and then suspended - decided it was time to do a little work on the site.

www.woodfordvalley.net will be for fixed content e.g. nice walks, information about clubs, b&b's etc.

www2.woodfordvalley.net will be web 2.0 and will contain anything that changes - news items, events, photos and discussion forums. Hopefully users will sign up and take over. As soon as we have a critical mass then it should start to run itself.
