Woodford Valley Tennis Tournament in aid of the Valley Churches. Details and application forms from Peter Moss or Sarah Coate (782365).

9.30 Play starts on 8 courts in the Valley between 3 or 4 couples. Please be prompt to start, otherwise it will delay the whole day. Each couple plays 8 games against every couple on their court. Further details of play are on the clip board at each court.

12.00 The winners of each court will play a Quarter Final (best of 9 games) against the winners of another court. Runners-up* will also play a Quarter Final (best of 9 games) in a Plate Competition on different courts. Non - players are invited to watch or make their way to Colts Corner, where parking is in the field by the tennis court. Quarter Final Courts are:

1.00 Lunch at Colts Corner. Bring your own picnics & tables and chairs for lunch.

There will be a marquee in the garden to provide shelter from the sun, hopefully, or rain!

Raffle and Bring and Buy Stall during Lunch. Contributions of home or garden produce will be most welcome for the Bring and Buy Stall.

2.30 Semi-Finals on Upper Woodford courts – best of 9 games.

3.15 Final of the Plate Competition at Colts Corner } one set (with a tie-

} break if drawn at 6-6).

3.45 Final of the Main Competition at Colts Corner }

4.15 approx. Tea and Prize-giving.

In the event of rain, please phone the owner of the court on which you are playing. If play is cancelled please come for lunch at Colts Corner anyway.

*If there are any runners-up who do not wish to enter the plate competition, they should surrender their place to the next highest placed pair on their court who wish to continue playing.
