House too big for wi-fi network?

The technology to run a network over the power cables of your house is getting better and cheaper.

Wi-fi is great because you don't need to lay any ugly new wiring but most houses in the valley are large with thick walls and wi-fi doesn't go very far.

With the Powerline system you can connect your router to a power socket and then every socket in your house becomes part of your network. You get super fast speeds easy enough to stream video around your house (you might not want to do it now - but it won't be long!).

I've got a pair of adaptors you can borrow if you want to try before you buy.

The adaptors I use are Linksys PLK200. A pair costs about £100.
