The venue is the impressive new hall at Woodford Valley Primary School and the performances are a tribute to the late Mark Ray. Performers will include the School Band, ex students of Mark from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) who are now persuing professional careers in music and friends who have performed professionally with Mark.

Mark was Head of Keyboard Studies at RNCM at the time of his tragic death in June2006. The students who were working with Mark have recently expressed the wish to perform in a concert in tribute to Mark at a venue close to Mark's family home in the Woodford Valley. These ex students are now achieving great success in their music careers, most notably Alexandra Dariescu (see alexandradariescu.com).

Performers include:

Woodford Valley School Band, The Banks Trio (Daphne Moody violin, Carole Presland piano & Rickman Godlee cello), Alexandra Dariescu (piano), Delphine Hensler (piano) with Fred Steinbrachel (cello), Karenna Caun (soprano), Simon Lane (piano) and Graham Merriam (Narrator).
