Chimney Sweeps

Here is the result of my research into Chimney Sweeps on 8th January 2008. There are three numbers given on www.yell.com for Salisbury. They are (together with their prices):

Mike's Chimney Sweep Service (thirtee pand)

26, James Rd, Amesbury, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP4 7PY
Tel: 01980 622241

I was very impressed by this chimney sweep. Experienced, polite, tidy and fixed a few problems with the stove for free.

House too big for wi-fi network?

The technology to run a network over the power cables of your house is getting better and cheaper.

Wi-fi is great because you don't need to lay any ugly new wiring but most houses in the valley are large with thick walls and wi-fi doesn't go very far.

With the Powerline system you can connect your router to a power socket and then every socket in your house becomes part of your network. You get super fast speeds easy enough to stream video around your house (you might not want to do it now - but it won't be long!).
