The gentlefolk of The Durnfords challenge the good folk of The Woodfords (together with their friends from Wilton, Shrewton and beyond) to a game of cricket.

To be played on Sunday 18th September at 2pm.

Each side will be given 20 overs. Every player  will have to bowl 2 overs. Any batsman scoring 20 will be forced to retire only to return if needed at the end.

If previous games are anything to go by then standards will be mixed and cheating will be rife. We will also attempt to entertain the amassed children with treasure hunts and more.

This year The Durnfords will bring savouries and The Woodfords will bring puds.

If you are in any doubt as to whether you will be good enough to play and whether or not you will embarass yourself then please be assured that you are good enough, but you will still embarass yourself. You will meet lots of nice people and will never want to live anywhere else.
